Punthip (Tip) Issarangura na Ayudhya works as Senior Market Adviser with focus on tourism. Her main responsibility is to market Scandinavia and especially Norway as a tourist destination in Southeast Asia. Punthip has more than 30 years experience in the travel sector, where she previously worked as Passenger Sales & Marketing Manager (Thailand & Indochina) for Scandinavian Airlines.
Punthip has a strong relationship with most FIT and GIT travel agents in Thailand. During her time at SAS, the company was seen as one of the leading airlines and an innovator opening previously unknown destinations for tourism from Thailand. Being an airline from one of the most costly parts of the world, SAS had to go far beyond simply competing on price, but instead finding unique products which appealed to Asian tourists despite the higher price. Punthip is closely following the market trends and pushing her team ahead with new ideas and attractions. Following many of the trends from Japan, we are seeing winter holidays and Aurora-hunting trips taking foothold in Southeast Asia. And, Norway, Iceland, Greenland and the Baltic countries are still enjoying some of the fruits of that pioneering work done over several decades.
