October 2025 was the best month ever in terms of Thai visitors at hotels in Norway. Bonafide tourists in Norway is counted from the number of nights the tourists stay in Norwegian hotels. The hotels report these numbers back to Statstics Norway.
From January to October 2025, we have seen a record number of room nights in Norway. Winter tourism has taken off and the biggest attraction during winter is aurora hunting in Northern Norway. Looking at the various regions in Norway, the split is as follows:
- Oslo capital region: 19,882 (+74% vs. 2024)
- Fjord Norway and the western provinces: 12,390 (+19% vs. 2024)
- Northern Norway: 23,940 (+54% vs. 2024)
- All of Norway: 60,906 (+50% vs. 2024)
