Norway’s Trade with Thailand

The trade figures Norway-Thailand for November 2025 were released by SSB on 15 December. One month to go for a year that looks to be a record year in many ways.

We have listed the main commodities in the trade flow

Thailand
  • Seafood exports from Norway are up 15% as compared to same period in 2024
  • Fertiliser exports from Norway are down 26% as compared to same period in 2024
  • Exports of metal structures, i.e. oil rigs from Thailand are up 27% as compared to same period in 2024. The metal structures are completely dependent on Aibel’s export of oil rigs and offshore transformer stations from Thailand.

Export from Norway for Jan-Nov25 is split like this:

  • Seafood 62%             NOK 3,151 million
  • Fertilisers 16%           NOK 829 million
  • Other goods 23%      NOK 1,056 million
  • Total export               NOK 5,084 million
  • Total import               NOK 6,517 million including metal structures of NOK 1,683 million mainly in June 2025
